Who we are
Trampka Photography is Kacper and Mariola, a husband-and-wife photography studio in Harwood Heights, Illinois. When this page says “we” or “us,” it means the two of us. If you have any questions about your information, email us at trampkaphotography@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you send an inquiry: your name and email, plus anything else you choose to share — phone number, event date, type of session, venue and your message.
- When you check a date: only the date you pick, so we can tell you whether it’s open. We don’t store it with anything about you.
- Basic technical details: like every website, our hosting provider automatically records things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, check our availability and, if you book with us, to plan and deliver your session or wedding. We never sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
A few trusted services help us run this site, and each one only gets what it needs to do its job:
- Formspree delivers the messages you send through our contact form to our email inbox.
- Google runs our email (Gmail) and our bookings calendar. The map in our contact section is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may collect information when it loads, under Google’s own privacy policy.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Prisma hosts the database where the site keeps a copy of the inquiries you send.
- Pixieset hosts the private online galleries where we deliver your photos, if you book with us.
Links to other sites, like Instagram or our Pixieset galleries, are covered by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t use tracking cookies, analytics tools or advertising pixels — no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel.
The site does save a few small settings in your own browser so it can remember them: your cookie choice, light or dark theme, article text size, your Journal reading progress, history and saved articles, your reading streak, any article feedback you give, the date you checked (so the inquiry form can fill it in for you), and which articles you’ve opened this visit (so a view is only counted once). These stay on your device and aren’t sent to us. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
When you read a Journal article, we add one to that article’s view count — just a number, with nothing about you attached.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details for as long as we need them to reply to you and, if you book with us, for our business records.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you, or to stop emailing you. Just email us at trampkaphotography@gmail.com.
Keeping it safe
This site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, and only the two of us and the services listed above can access your information. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. For family and newborn sessions, a parent or guardian gets in touch with us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
